25% Et-VC™ ETHYLATED L-ASCORBIC ACID
A new, pure “ethylated” form of L-Ascorbic Acid that is extremely stable and direct-acting, Et-VC™ is unlike other C derivatives: it does not need to be converted to l-ascorbic acid (pure form of Vitamin C useful to the skin). It’s already converted!

ELAA also is shown to penetrate deep into skin layers to provide superior antioxidant protection, stimulate the appearance of collagen production, and visibly brighten dark spots.

 

11% THD ASCORBATE
Ultra-potent yet ultra-stable, TDHA is 50X more potent than traditional Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid). This “gold standard” C helps improve the look of fine lines and wrinkles, texture, and firmness.

 

KAKADU PLUM
Australian Kakadu Plum fruit has the highest known Vitamin C concentration of any single natural food source in the world. Note that the vitamin content of natural foods are estimates and vary depending upon conditions, so we combine it with stabilized vitamin C from other sources.

2.0% PHLORETIN
Derived from apples and the root bark of fruit trees, this unique antioxidant exhibits numerous well-aging properties. It can protect against a range of reactive molecules, and help the serum penetrate deeper into the skin. Phloretin helps improve skin turnover, and improves the appearance of discoloration.

0.5% FERULIC ACID
A plant-based natural phenol antioxidant that can inhibit the appearance of melanin production and reduce oxidative stress. It is known to boost the effects of vitamin C and vitamin E. Ferulic acid has also been shown to neutralize free radicals such as superoxide, hydroxyl radicals and nitric oxide.

BIOCELL SOD (SUPER-OXIDEDISMUTASE)
SOD is one of THE most important components in the fight against oxidation inside cells, since superoxide is the main ROS (reactive oxygen species).

SOD is expensive, and difficult to obtain, and difficult to solubilize and stabilize. Our version is a new, unique molecule derived from grape skin yeast, and has a very high degree of activity, and is very stable.

GLUTATHIONE, ASTAXANTHIN & VITAMIN E
These potent antioxidant targets free radicals, and are great skin brighteners. Glutathione may also be beneficial for those with cystic acne, acne-prone skin, or even just the occasional breakout.

 

ABOUT THE BASE
Reviv-C Serum’s base is a new high-purity, sustainable corn sugar-based solvent carrier and epidermal penetration enhancer: Dimethyl Isosorbide, or DMI. Because it has the ability to dissolve loose fats in the skin, it can carry actives across the skin membrane. This quality is especially beneficial when feeding the skin with antioxidants like the powerful ones contained in Reviv-C. DMI is also known to lessen skin irritation associated with aggressive active ingredients.

The fragrance-free, vegan base also contains a silky CPS organosilicon (derived from sand): an inert, safe, non-reactive material with a unique spreadable fluidity, that is non-comedogenic and does not clog pores.

While the serum has no fragrance added, it does have a characteristic citrus-like scent that dissipates rather quickly. You might also notice the temporary aroma of wet pennies, because of the iron-like scent of ferulic acid.

The serum replicates the lubricity and slip of an oil, but does not contain any oils. It may feel heavy at first for some, but melts rapidly, especially when in contact with damp skin. Any oily or slippery feeling will disappear within about 30 seconds, leaving a dry smooth finish.
